Description
The “UKIMON” series is an artistic folding knife collection created by the renowned Japanese manufacturer G・SAKAI.
Designed under the theme of Japanese × Modern Collaboration, it blends traditional ukiyo-e aesthetics with contemporary metal craftsmanship, achieving a perfect balance between visual artistry and practical knife performance.
This series was showcased in 2017 at the CASA GIFU II exhibition in Milan, Italy, presented as a “miniature art knife” representing Japanese craftsmanship and cultural expression.
⚔️ Blade Craftsmanship
Constructed with VG-10 core steel encased in 31-layer Damascus.
The layered Damascus pattern is elegant and detailed, combining artistic beauty with functional strength.
Despite its compact size, the knife maintains excellent sharpness and cutting stability.
A nail-mark groove is integrated into the blade opening area, inspired by traditional Japanese swords, harmonizing with the Damascus texture.
