⭕️Morihiro Kaji Koujou: Founded in 1961, now led by second-generation craftsman Yasuaki Taira. Despite being younger than many Sakai makers, the workshop is highly respected for its forging and sharpening excellence, with every knife handcrafted start to finish by Taira himself.
⭕️Yasuaki Taira: Renowned for fully handmade blades with extreme attention to detail. His signature “Choji-midare” hamon is highly artistic, and each knife comes with a handwritten certificate. Extremely limited production with long waiting times.
